1930 Waco RNF NC140Y

The open-cockpit three-place Waco RNF blended power, performance, and price. Called “the easiest flying airplane in America”, the RNF was popular because of its practical payload, ample passenger room and comfort. In short field performance it was noted as able to land and stop within 100 feet. Popular with general aviation enthusiasts, barnstormers, and sportsman pilots approximately 150 RNFs were built between 1930 and 1931. Over forty are still registered.

Built May 17, 1937, at the Waco Aircraft Company of Troy, Ohio.

ATC #311, granted 4-7-30, expired 4-13-43.

Donated by: Kenneth V. Brugh, Jr., Vero Beach, FL
